HOPE...HOW MANY WAYS?

This piece was the first creation after a period of being unable to create for more than 3 months, due to a stress-induced block. In the summer of 2025, the City of Chicago was engulfed in political and repressive activity, which generated a tense atmosphere of fear and powerlessness.

The eye in my graphic work, I have always used as a symbol of reflection; the colors and lines were completely organic, simply allowing the pastel chalk to flow and blend.

My intention was to show the ambiguity in the reflective gaze of the inhabitant of this chaos, and along with it, the search for a hope that we only obtain in the multiplicity of the infinite range of colors and life around nature, with that magic that only the gratitude of wonder can give us.

Esta pieza fue la primera creacion, despues de un lapso de no poder crear mas de 3 meses, debido a un bloqueo por estress....  En el verano del 2025 la Cudad de Chicago se vio evuelta en actividad politica y represiva, que genero un ambiente tenso, de temor e impotencia.

      El ojo en mi grafica, siempre lo he usado como simbolo de reflexion, los colores y las lineas fueron totalmente organicas, dejando solo fluir y mezclarse la tiza de pastel.

     Mi intension era mostrar la ambiguedad  en la mirada reflexiva deel habitante de este caos, y junto con ella la busqueda de una esperanza que solo en la multiplicidad de la gama infinita de colores y vida alrededor de la naturaleza, obtenemos con esa magia que solo la gratitud  del asombro nos puede dar.
